On behalf of the Faculty and Staff, I would like to welcome you to Madison High School. I am very excited about the expanding educational and career/technical educational opportunities we are offering our students and the families who attend Madison Public Schools during the 2015-16 school year. Some of these innovative programs include offering eligible students an opportunity to earn a free associate’s degree from Rochester College while attending high school. We anticipate approximately twenty five students to be enrolled in Rochester College while attending Madison High School. Another exciting opportunity for students is our Construction Technology Curriculum. Last year over thirty four students from Madison High School earned certifcation status from The National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) and received Construction Technology Curriculum and Instruction that prepares students with employability skills and is required by local trades unions. Additional to receiving a world class education, Madison High School offers our students a wide range of extracurricular activities, clubs, and afterschool programs designed to provide students with a well rounded high school experience.
I am equally excited about our highly qualified professional teaching staff who are committed to providing a rigorous and relevant education to our students. Our teachers actively participate in professional development throughout the school year that is designed to ensure all students are challenged academically and develop a strong work ethic. Most importantly, our staff will continuously strive to develop a professional caring and nurturing relationship with each student.
I encourage parents and students to be actively involved in your son and/or daughter's education and form a productive partnership with us, in order to ensure every student achieves academic excellence. Please regularly refer to our website for important updates of upcoming activities. We are looking forward to working with you and your student during the 2015-16 school year and I welcome your input and suggestions to help us provide the highest level of education possible for your son or daughter.
